Grayson Joined the Navy in 2004 immediately upon completing his fifth and final year of high school. Academia not looking like the path for him, he joined the search and rescue community. He knew he had found a place where he belonged. In 2019, he left active service and had an experience like many other veterans. A sense of excitement coupled with the realization that you are truly on your own for the first time. He was fortunate to find his local VFW and saw how impactful organizations for veterans run by veterans can be. He considers himself very fortunate to have a small part in what is sure to be growing and positive impact on the veteran as well as the local community.
Born and raised in Las Vegas, NV, Nick proudly spent 6 years in the US Navy as a helicopter Search and Rescue Swimmer and Naval Aircrewman. After service, he sought an education in Accounting and Business Administration. Professionally, Nick has pursued a career in Procurement and Supplier Management within the Aviation sector (details on LinkedIn if you want to be bored); but his true passion is his family. He currently resides in Hawaii with his wife Karli and their two children where he enjoys spending time outdoors with nature and satisfying his “green thumb” interests. His other hobbies include whatever path his ADHD has taken him down that week. Nick plans to play a vital role in ensuring Abby’s Acre is successful in its mission to Teach, Serve, and Grow.
